Ban/Abuse Log Submission When submitting a logfile, here are the ways to do it. The most efficent way is to right click on the chat screen, from the menu that appears, click on view source. That will open everything up in a text file. Highlight the needed text. Preferably from the when the user came into the room up till the time they left or stopped what it was they were doing.
The other way of doing this, is click once on the chat output screen where you see the messages. Press and hold the CTRL key and hit the letter 'A' one time. The entire screen will highlight. While you're still holding down the CTRL key, hit the letter 'C' several times. Then come to this page and where it says log file, click once in that box, press and hold CTRL and hit the letter 'V' one time. If you don't see anything right away, don't worry. If the log is large, it might take a moment to appear.
Once you have that entered, go through the log, take out any whispers that are not to be reviewed. Trim up the log file by starting at the users entrance. If the user had been there for a long while, then, start about 5-6 posts above where the user started their offensive behavior.
All logs files that are submitted can only be viewed by the Administrators and Moderators of Cyberchat. You MUST supply a valid email address. If we have a question or follow up action needs to be taken, we will want to contact you. Under no circumstances will your email address be given out, or used in any type of unsolicited mail, such as chain letters, porn ads, or anything else considered spam. |
